Its weird that i hear so called individuals

Make claims that selfishness and greed is "human nature ". If that was true then individualism wouldn't exist would it?

Aren't people who see themselves as individuals supposed to feel it is their nature to be selfish? Why wouldn't individualism exist in a world of selfish individuals? I am having trouble understanding why it is weird to you? No one else responding to your post makes sense either.

@sree251 Yes. Centralised government creates one narrative and a single rule set, and off 1.4 Billion people go.😷.

@whowasthatmaskedman All governments are centralized: power at the center. It has nothing to do with the people. China's socialism is akin to that of an elephant herd.

@sree251 Agreed. But they are all charging in the same direction . Unlike the Tug of War paralysis in America..😷

There is a middle ground, called "enlightened self interest". Here you work as part of a community for the long term benefit of all. This is expressed at its basis with lifeboat rules of Women and children first and extends with the idea of mutual support in times of need, so everyone gets by, or by the group coming together for a project like a barn raising. A savings and loan is another common idea. Everyone ends up witj more and more people thrive this way. Its a part of what got humans to the top of the food chain..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman How does what you say relate with the OP?
eventtemple123 · 22-25, M
No, collectivism wouldn't exist because nobody could be trusted and the whole system would fail.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@eventtemple123 Can you explain what you are saying?
It's a political ideology that seems invisible sometimes. It's neo liberalism.
We need to move in the opposite direction.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Roundandroundwego And what is the opposite direction?
@sree251 towards universal rights and socialism.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Roundandroundwego Is this possible? Can selfish individuals who, are us Americans, move towards what the Chinese is practicing?
