Did Hitler escape the bunker and just pretended to commit suicide ?

I think we'll never know.
On one hand, supposively the DNA of the dead body matched Hitler.
On the other hand, supposively the FBI or CIA kept having programs looking.for Hitler in South America.
But why the enemy, help cover it up, if he was trying to pretend to kill himself and escape?
But a lot of higher level Nazi did go to South America.
Just my opinion, but I think he died in the bunker, as people were trying to kill him, and he basically put himself in a position of no return and even his people would probably turn him in to help themselves or make it easier for them to escape, so I think he died in Germany one way or the other.

Nobody knew what DNA even was in those days. If we could get a DNA sample now, like some hair from his hairbrush, and compare that to the remains that are supposed to be him, we'd be able to put this debate to rest. But as it stands, DNA wasn't discovered until 1953.

There’s no evidence he escaped and a great deal of evidence that he died in the bunker. Things aren’t true just because you wish they were.

I have read in a couple places that everyone trapped in the bunker kept waiting for him to kill himself so they could escape and finally his chauffeur shot him. And that the Russian report on Eva Braun was that it wasn't her, it was a woman killed by shrapnel, and Eva died frim pneumonia shortly after arriving in South America by submarine.

@espoir I doubt there would have been much to look at, after they got bombed. Anyway, that problem is easily solved if you get Russia to agree to run DNA tests on the remains.
Without that, though, I should imagine that it wouldn't be easy to find someone with exactly the same 4 teeth and the same missing chunk of jaw as the original Hitler.

Truth here.......I ran into Hitler and Jimmy Hoffa a while back in San Francisco. They said they were sharing a loft apartment down by Chinatown. Seemed like down to earth guys. Hitler was high as a kite and Jimmy said he don't do dat dope shit....he was a bourbon man. I liked them both right away. Jimmy carried a pistol and every now and then Hitler would tell Jimmy to shoot someone who looked Jewish........but other than that...solid guys.
