Top ten reasons why you might walk off with top secret government documents

10. They were ferrel documents and they followed you home.

9. You had one too many and they started looking good to you.

8. If you stare at them real hard and at just the right angle 3D sailboats and dolphins jump out at you.

7. Girls think your're hot if you've got folders labeled Top Secret laying all over your bedroom.

6. You were baking a cake and documents were the last ingredient.

5. You didn't have time to stop for milk on the way home and thought documents might work with your Fruity Pebbles.

4. You hang them from your rear view mirror while cruising for chicks.

3. They're like record album covers: you lay on the bed and stare at them while you're stoned.

2. You dress them up in frilly doll clothes and hold tea parties.
"Hello Mrs Nuclear, one lump or two?"

And the number one reason you'd walk off with secret government documents...

You want to sell them to rival nations for boatloads of money and favors
And if you get caught you can count on Fox to run interference by citing reasons 2 through 10 endlessly.

I get that former presidents get certain privileges when it comes to inside information, but generally classified government documents are not supposed to leave the government property in which it is stored.
And if it wasn't incriminating in any way than there would be no harm in being open about it when asked rather than denying it to the point of a raid.

I don't know if this will lead anywhere but this is something trump deserves serious criticism for.

@Diotrephes he probably won't, and that's cause there are many people and the right fighting against it as there are on the left fighting for it.
It's probably going to be in litigation for over a year at least if it goes to court.
@Diotrephes its not up to the Democrats this time. Its a criminal investigation not a congressional one. But the DOJ looks like they're taking it very seriously.
However, there is already talk if the GOP takes back congress in November- which is likely- they will try to impeach and remove Attorney General Garland in an effort to stop the investigation.
That's right. The party that once impeached a president over a blow job with an intern wants to stop a case against another president for possible treason. So you can sell us to the enemy but you cant cheat on your wife.
Find yourself a lifeboat. This ship is sinking fast.

@robingoodfellow the DOJ is supposed to be neutral but is still susceptible to political influence.
and if the republicans get elected they could probably stop proceedings if they choose to.
Congress is divided enough on this as it is.
Can't say what will or won't happen. but there is a chance Trump will walk.
@boudinMan
being a former president and all, has the power to declassify documents.
Actually, if you read the search warrant, none of the suspected crimes have to do with classification or declassification.

Trump is suspected of violations of the Espionage Act and the Presidential Records Act. So it matters not a whit if Trump pretends he declassified everything but neglected to inform anyone or keep any record.

except that trump doesn't drink... and he, being a former president and all, has the power to declassify documents. can we now move on to stupid human tricks? oh wait... that WAS stupid human tricks! never mind.
summersmiles · 51-55, F
@boudinMan it's been reported the high level of security those documents are. Not what's in them, but the level. One is the very top tier level.
Biden has nothing to do with this. Doesn't matter if you don't trust him, it's Trump thats neck deep in this right now.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@summersmiles and i'm sure if the tables were turned, you'd be saying the same thing. yeah, right. lol
@boudinManwell i sure would. Unlike you I don't see this as more libs vs cons shit. This is my home and my country. I don't care what side of the political aisle a traitor is on.

Fox will invoke "her emails", "laptop" and the usual "the FBI is out to get honest, freedom loving, hard working Republicans."

Half the population buys whatever Fox spews.
Ynotisay · M
Well done. 👍
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I'm guessing when the FBI found them they were in the form of Paper Airplanes, Paper doles, and almost all of them had been drawn on with crayon.
@Thevy29 Not a crayon, a sharpie
or ya want to build a tower in a different country and use the info for leverage.
ie i know your sex life
ie i know who you killed and how
ie just plan bribery
TexChik · F
Or …they were declassified.
@Carla yes that is really the whole point, right? Why did he have them, why did he [i]want[i] them. I can only think of one reason. What else do you do with them?
Carla · 61-69, F
@robingoodfellow well...he certainly isnt going to read them. He might have one of his lackeys to do it. Maybe Mccarthy..
Carla · 61-69, F
@TexChik that dear, is a false story.
Nanoose · 61-69, M
#2 but after the tea party I would send them back to were they belong along with a note that says - you better take better care of me or I am going to move in with Nanoose. Cheers!
