Absolutely this is wrong, but the shooter was a gun owner for less than 10 days...
Meanwhile many gun owners have gone decades without ever shooting a person.
I do think some gun reform could be good, but also it's not completely the guns fault. Part of it is that our American culture has lost the respect for others, including others life's. We also need to gain respect for one another.
Also, why did he go for the elementary school? We'll probably never know, but it sounds like he did have some cousins in that school, and after arguing with his mom about his phone and getting kicked out, then arguing with his grandma about his phone and then shooting his grandma, I'm wondering if he was going to the school to get random kids or looking for his cousins to punish his family even more.
The US has more than one mass shooting a week. I dont know how they consider this "normal".

They can outlaw abortion, but argue their right to allow everyone to carry a devastating weapon that can kill heaps of people in a moment.
Its just horrible . So horrible. The families, their friends, the kids, the school students, the community: this is going to affect so many people lives . Anxiety , fear, ptsd, mental and emotional problems and familes torn to shreds over yet another mass shooting . It breaks my heart .

Yes, but there is a reason nothing has successfully been done to improve gun control. If anything, it’s only gotten worse. Some of those in power such as the NRA stand to profit from this violence. So mass shootings are exactly what they want. It frightens Americans and it’s easier to sell you something when you’re scared. All is working as intended. The money from fear mongering is just too good. That’s right. Convince every American you can of their need for a gun to protect their selves. Look at all this senseless killing. Are you racist? Have you heard of the replacement theory? Gold right there. Keep ‘em coming. How many more suckers can we arm to the teeth? Target the teens especially. They’re easier.

I googled school (this included Elementary, High School, Universities and school buses) massacre in the USA with my son yesterday, and we were beyond shocked, we found some dating back to the 50’s! Just like you said, way worse over the last 20-30 years. Up here, if you’ve passed mental health clearance, have your PAL and other licenses. With wait times a person has 4 days to calm the fuck down and really think about buying a gun to murder. Maybe all schools do need guards, would create employment down there which would be good.
@SW-User the irony is, democrats would never go for thorough background checks in their "battle ground" states (like the ones most red states already have); because it would expose the lack of any background or ID for many of their supporters (illegal immigrants).
needless to say, thorough background checks should be required for ALL residents of the US, and anyone with a history of violence, especially felonies; or total lack of background should be automatically excluded from voting, much less owning a firearm.
But yet again, democrat legislature is overturning many of these laws on the silly basis of them being unfair or "racist" towards minorities...
many of which are the same minorities committing these crimes...
Democrats don't care about kids, they're merely props to push their tyrannical agendas; Did they really care, they'd overturn roe vs wade themselves instead of pushing for things like post natal "abortion"... They'd be stopping illegal immigration, not allowing them to pour through freely, unvetted and untested.
In short, all these "politically correctness" laws that cater to the self indulgent are having a cascade effect on everything else... we have a government and media that devalues life, victimizes criminals, encourages violent riots/looting
then act surprised if someone follows the precedent they set... 🤔
That’s all I’m looking for is some empathy for innocent lives from those who are dead set on their rights to walk into a Wal-Mart and buy a gun on a whim. Plus he didn’t go in with a knife or just his fists…he murdered with a gun. Period. 🥺@TexChik

@iamonfire696 for handguns I think it’s 2 weeks . With constitutional carry no permit is required but I got my license to carry so that I can buy without a waiting period . My FBI background check was extensive. The police call them “ good guy “ cards because we have been vetted .
