Even avid gun owners

have to say “this is wrong and shouldn’t happen” when they look at these little faces and the happy teachers.

Absolutely this is wrong, but the shooter was a gun owner for less than 10 days...

Meanwhile many gun owners have gone decades without ever shooting a person.

I do think some gun reform could be good, but also it's not completely the guns fault. Part of it is that our American culture has lost the respect for others, including others life's. We also need to gain respect for one another.

Also, why did he go for the elementary school? We'll probably never know, but it sounds like he did have some cousins in that school, and after arguing with his mom about his phone and getting kicked out, then arguing with his grandma about his phone and then shooting his grandma, I'm wondering if he was going to the school to get random kids or looking for his cousins to punish his family even more.

@Viper quick question according to various sources he had 2 Daniel Defense AR15s one with an EOTech that’s about 700$ optic and one rifle is just under 1900$ what 18 year old who was bullied for being poor has over 2600$ to buy one rifle let alone a second rifle? Something isn’t adding up.

@Ozuye502 I don't know, but there is also financing options where you can pay in monthly payments and don't need all the money up front...

But obviously they would want some money or credit up front... Sounded like he dropped out of highschool over a year ago and was working fast food restaurant regularly, so he might of had some money.

Looks like El Paso Texas is advising $20 for a fast food worker...

But let's say it's only $10 per hour, and he's only working 10 hours a week, that's still over $5,000 for a year, and those assumptions of 10 are both quite conservative, considering it could also be $20 per hour for 40 hours per week, since he was no longer really going to highschool.
