What do you think it is about a bonfire that makes people feel good?

Could be a lot of things. It provides warmth on a cold night, it provides light in the darkness, camaraderie and closeness, and it usually means some kind of food is being prepared or some stories are being shared.

It's like all of our creature comforts rolled into one package

There's a primal satisfaction from sitting by a fire

The warmth, magic visuals, fire spirit, woods cracking and burning sounds, ohh i would love one right now!!!!!

I don’t care for the smoke part but I do love sitting around a good fire

They call it the bush tv 📺 you can just stare at it for hours

....and the socializing, and the hypnotic effect of the flames.

I don't care what it is, just know that sitting around a good fire with good friends is one of life's true pleasures. Add in some good port and potatoes roasting in the ashes and it becomes heaven.

I love the smell of woodsmoke. But even better is the illumination of the night. I'm scared of the dark!
