@Nightwings Yep, the fake information age where no one knows what's true.
Nightwings · 31-35, F
@pride49 Exactly. I really hate the way the internet has changed since I was young. Stuff like Facebook and Twitter/X is a curse.
pride49 · 31-35, M
@Nightwings And the over censoring has gotten crazy too but maybe that's just here. Yeah Facebook and Twitter is a hard no for me. I only use snapchat to message family members. Having to download a separate messenger for Facebook is ridiculous.

The snow 4 to 7 inches is supposed to start around 7 pm tonight where I live in Southern Ohio, then the lovely single digits temps for a few days are to follow. But I like it this way.
WellFrog · 56-60, M
No snow here in Texas, but then we don't get seasonal weather generally
Apart from summer. LOTS of summer,!

We've had snow since Thanksgiving.
StarLily · 51-55, F
A good dusting of snow this morning... on top of a solid sheet of ice from freezing rain through the night.🥶
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Had snow on the ground here since November 29th. Want some from my yard? ⛄
swirlie · 31-35
@luckranger71
...uh, no... that stuff from November 29th has gone stale by now. Nothing worse than stale snow.

I see you are from Ukraine and I have a snow-story for you! Plus, I have a tidbit of trivia that you may choose to share with your husband who's trying his best to avoid being Conscripted as a private citizen by the Ukraine Military.
Did you know that 100% of the ammunition that is used by the Ukraine military against Russian forces originates in Canada?
Canada manufactures ALL the shell casings for small arms and ALL the 155 millimeter artillery shells that are used for Ukraine's war effort against Russia.
Those shell casings for small arms are made in Quebec City, Quebec Canada and the 155 millimeter artillery shells are made in Ingersoll, Ontario Canada.
Those shell casings from both locations are then sent by truck to the USA where they are charged with the explosive components and then shipped over to Ukraine by the US Air Force as 'live' ammunition.
The explosive components found within those shell casings that turn shell casings into explosive ammunition is mined as raw material from deep in the ground in northern Canada, right along the southern edge of Canada's High Arctic where trees and vegetation have never grown.
It is then sent to the USA in bulk-form by the truck load where the raw material is then processed, then refined and turned into explosive material. That raw material is mined in northern Canada and then sent to the USA because the combination of elements that make up explosives are not found anywhere in the USA.
Ironically, the US makes the most sophisticated weaponry in the world, but the US cannot supply and manufacture the explosive material that goes into the making of their weaponry systems.
Canada on the other hand, maintains a no-gun policy for it's citizens, yet Canada supplies all the explosive material to countries who manufacture war weapons!
Canada opened the 155 millimeter shell casing factory in Ontario Canada back in 2024 to be able to keep up with the high demand required by the Ukrainian Military, in addition to keeping up with the ongoing demand of the ever-depleting US Military's stockpiles, which are replenished by Canada as an allied commitment to its allies, which include those allies located in Europe.
It is also worth knowing that Canada supplied ALL the ammunition and artillery shells and raw materials for the Vietnam War, in addition to supplying every member-country of the Allied Forces during WWII, including the US military who of course was and still is an equal member of the Allied Forces of NATO.
When you ask "Have you guys got any snow yet?", my official snow-story report is that Quebec City, Quebec Canada had already received about 4 feet of snow by the first week of December.
Ingersoll, Ontario Canada only received about 1 inch of snow which arrived for the very first time this year about a week ago, yet should be melted by next Wednesday when the temp is forecast to climb above freezing for just 1 day!
And thanks for asking how my 4-season year has been going so far! 🇨🇦

anoderod55 · 70-79, M
@Musicman One to possible seven . Will have to try to keep up with it . Wife has to go to work . Hopefully we will only get the one inch . Had 1/2 inch Friday . Was able to use push broom on that .😁
Musicman · 61-69, M
@anoderod55 Half an inch to a inch isn't bad. Like you said just sweep it. Definitely no need to break out the snow blower.
Hireath · 36-40, M

I live in a condo in Toronto and so far, I've counted the snowplow guy cleaning up the outside parking lot 18 times since the third week of November and we're only about to start the third week of December.
