About to research how to take care of this plant...

But then I thought, hey... I'ma gonna ask @caccoon first 😶

(or anyone else here that knows stuff about plants) 😶

(I'm really bad with plants, but that's probably because I don't know much about them, lol)

Peperomia are nice and easy! I find with this type it likes to dry out a little between waterings so you don't get root rot. Bright light, but more like nice morning sun. If you get really hot sun, you may want to protect her from that. Misting in the evening would be appreciated ☺💙

@caccoon Just one more dumb question....

not related to this plant specifically, but do you use or recommend water tests for your plants?
Because I dunno, different plants like different stuff and different nutrients?

@Fishy sorry just realized I forgot to reply to this!!

Sometimes I do do a TDS test on the runoff water of my plants, or a TDS test on the soil mixture (wet/muddy) before I prep for potting. Mostly just for my carnivorous ones though, which like a very low TDS.

Testing the pH of the water and soil can be very important, whether a plant like acidic or alkaline. Most of my plants like acidity so I just know if the TDS is low, then it will be acidic

I hope this helps!

@caccoon Nah, it's cool.
Trust me, I forget stuff all the time 😂😶

I've heard of plants being picky with pH before, but never heard of TDS.

Sounds super interesting tho, gonna look into it c:

I'm sure she would be a great help with that. But maybe it might help to look at it this way: just treat it like you would a fish. 🤭🙃
Fishy · 36-40, F
@Ducky I'm trying to, but I've researched fish...
I haven't researched this plant (yet)😅

@Fishy I just couldn't resist saying that because I like to think I'm funny sometimes. 😅

I had one of those long ago, I think.

I also think there a bush of it in my apartment parking lot.

I do not recall doing anything special.

I've had one of these and managed to kill it. I think I over watered it :(
pride49 · 31-35, M
Apparently it stores water in it's leaves so wait till the soil is dry before watering again. And it likes normal room temperatures
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
Can I pet it?

@Fishy Planty lieks pets
pride49 · 31-35, M
Research humidity and amount of water needed. 🤷🏼
Matt85 · 36-40, M
ask the plant what it wants
Fishy · 36-40, F
@Matt85 It says it wants world domination 🤔
