I've not touched my yard beyond sweeping it, but I have planted a couple of fruit bushes and other plants in my modest back garden.
The lawn, such as it is, needs mowing but it's presently too wet. If it gets much longer I may need use the electric mower for the first cut, but I am reluctant as I am more likely than with the manual mower accidentally to kill any frog hiding in the grass. (Frogs spend much of their time out of the water, hiding in cool, slightly damp vegetation, under logs and the like.)
The pond vegetation is becoming rather rampant and I have already thinned it a bit. The frog-spawn in it has hatched but I can't see many tadpoles. They might be staying deeper.

It doesn't stop when you rent or own a house with a yard.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
It's been mowed twice now
exexec · 61-69, C
Yep. Mowed twice. Trimmed a bit. Mulched.

I've actually planted two flower beds and a bush and some honeysuckle and another climber this year. I've cut the grass once so far.
Normally I don't bother with yardwork but I feel a need for flowers and plantlife and a beautiful garden to relax in this year.

I don't usually trim mine unless it absolutely needs it, but mine is also mostly clover and wildflowers. I like to leave it for the bees. :)
Gotta put some mulch around my trees soon though!

Yes weeded the vegetable gardens and netted the broad beans i grew over winter. Made a trellis at the side of the shed for the cucumbers to climb and put lots of seeds in the greenhouse

No. We don't plant here until after Mother's Day. So another 6+ weeks away. But I do have the landscapers coming soon to start spring cleanup.
Colonelmustardseed · 36-40
I tried to earlier, but bought the wrong tool. Got to delay the weed-pulling. I planted some vegetables and flowers, though.
DavyPNW · 56-60, M
Mowed the yard, killed the moss, shaved the beard and then winter came back.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F

I mowed one time and cut down some weeds around a peony and in a flower bed. Need to work on flower beds the next 3 days and get them started.

Not yet, but soon. Lots of things to do this spring. Preparing for summer and mom wants a pool.
BizSuitStacy · M
Mostly just cleaning leaves debris. Pruned up my plum tree. I've only mowed the lawn twice since the fall.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M

I tried to be the neighborhood good example today by going out and raking my front lawn, but that lasted for about one minute's worth of raking before I had sunk up to my ankles in mud on my front lawn which looked green and dry from a distance!
