That looks really nice. You need some frogs to eat the mosquito larvae and a pair of water snakes to keep the frog population from exploding, along with a great blue heron to eat the baby snakes. You have to keep nature balanced.

@exexec So annoying when nature moves into your nature garden!

Late in the year, but I want to assume what you plant comes back next year? And if not, you have the beginning of a project next year?
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@SW-User The cat-tails and other plant I have in the pond now can over winter, but I'm not sure about water lillys, I'll have to read up on that.

Thats really nice and ingenious how you did that!

@Blondily Just buried the container in the ground, hopefully I will get some little creatures and more bio-diversity.

@JimboSaturn You will, may take time for the good ones to turn up (my frogs come and go) but there's always something in there.

You did a great job!
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@SomeMichGuy Thanks! I think it will look better once it gets more naturalized.
SomeMichGuy · M
@JimboSaturn Oh, undoubtedly! It will have things grow around it...

How big was the container?
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@SomeMichGuy I think 45 gallons? Not that big but better than the silly one I had before lol
SomeMichGuy · M
@JimboSaturn It's hard to tell scale from the first photo, but it looks like a fine size for a small pond. A very nice feature.

Very nice! Looks like there's just enough room for a duck. 🦆
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
What about mosquitos?
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Tastyfrzz Yes it will cause more misquitos.
