WOW!!! GOOD on you!!! THAT is healthy corn!

NEXT year, try this favorite of American Farmers when growing sweet corn...it's called Butter and Sugar corn!

4meAndyou · F
@TexChik I would NOT have thought of that! I take a bit of butter on a knife and allow it to melt on the corn.
@4meAndyou Grandfathers are the best! 🤓 If you are fortunate enough to get a good one.🤔
Mine was the best! 🤗

@UnderLockDown MINE used to sit there chain smoking cigarettes, and I used to tease him by darting toward him to make him laugh. If he CAUGHT me, he would grab me and give me a WHISKER RUB!!! ouch!!!🤣🤣🤣

Were you not from Down Under in Australia? I thought you were anyways please correct me if I am wrong.

If you are from the Down Under, I say congrats first and second where is the crock, roo, snake or spider trying to kill you!
@WillaKissing they only bite when they’re hungry… 🤓

That corn silk can be dried and saved in case you have kidney stones or gravel to make a tea from, helps dissolve them.
TexChik · F
@cherokeepatti you just grind them up and put in water?
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@TexChik No dry them whole, they don’t need to be ground up. They are very thin and hot water will do the trick. Wait a few minutes after doing it. It would be better to use if a person has a history of kidney stones or gravel rather than wait till the last minute. And if you have a history of kidney stones with barbs it may help to keep those barbs from forming.

@TexChik It’s an old Cherokee remedy. They always grew corn so they knew to dry some of the silk to use in case of gravel or stones.
Im not jealous....nope. Nada.
