And i dont see any point in making patriotism part of my core values when both the land itself is indifferent to my existence, and the government that rules over it mostly is too
Except for when it is time to extract resources from me and/or punish me, that is.
All this current noisy business is what I have come to expect from all centralized and hierarchical states.
Im no great scholar of sociology nor history, but i am enough of one to be thoroughly unimpressed, unsurprised, and borderline bored by what I see.
@CynicalSpaceMan I wasnt using Utopian as an insult. And it can be very pragmatic. In fact it needs to be. The more pragmatism, the less exceptions there can be to rules. The main rule being that everyone is responsible for participating in the experiment..😷

And as for the Saudis; I guess you are alluding to the Journalist, am I correct? Well no other than Biden referring to the Saudis as “ Pariahs”, no one in D.C. really did anything other than huff and puff. That includes Trump. We had an American citizen taken out (assassinated) in a middle eastern country at the direction of Obama. I know you’re no fan of Trump but for all the righteous indignation we’re seeing over the Maduros being abducted; I think you need to appreciate his actions under the umbrella of “”Geopolitics”. The world is constantly changing. And I feel pretty much the same way about your PM as you do about Trump
. A political person who wants tougher gun controls after a mass murder. If he didn’t suffer from CRI ( a common condition suffered by power hungry politicians all over) that massacre may not have occurred.

@soar2newhighs I suspect Putin may relish a rare chance to be on the side of the good guys..And China the same. If the world doesnt act to halt this, then both will be emboldened to make their own moves..😷
American, my family has been here since the 1700s. Horrible things have certainly happened along the way, but Trump and his ilk may finally destroy the Constitution and the country.
@Elessar I agree. America just went a step too far. They cant walk this one back without a major sacrifice. Like throwing Trump under a bus.. And to be clear, ultimately they will need to walk it back..😷
