What do you think of Americans if you’re European and vice versa?

I think Americans have gaps in their knowledge, they seem too confident, but in someways extremely intelligent and articulate. I think the accent is very classy. It took me awhile to adapt and to be concise and elaborate in my responses when talking to Americans.
I think most Americans are loud and opinionated so they really learned to be precise and explain everything around their point.
In Australia you don’t have to explain much to get your point across… it’s easy going 😂

What's THE accent? We all have different accents. Unlike most countries, we have different accents. My Texas accent is different from someone who has a New York or Boston accent for instance.

@AngelUnforgiven they sound pretty much the same to a foreigner. Except the southern accent but l find it charming

@AngelUnforgiven Yeah but there's a typical or general American accent that isn't tied to a region. It's what everyone else hears in music and in the movies, the news so on. The "default" accent if you will.

I believe it comes from thier high level of patriotism. It boarders on indoctrination and for some with lack of understanding of other places, it leads to an inflated ego.

Most of them are a bit too serious at first, but once they relax a bit, they're good company.

Americans are like anyone else, just with that extra dose of arrogance for obvious reasons, and honestly, that’s not even always a bad thing. My only gripe is with the folks who say we shouldn’t talk about America if we’re not American. Lol, really? The same people who meme, mock, and critique the entire world suddenly get all “triGgeRed” the moment someone points out their dear leader’s flaws. Suddenly, laughing at Trump’s foibles magically becomes “anti-America.”

@Ferise1 What I meant is that they’re human, like anyone else, subject to the same whims, tendencies, and even propaganda. That’s why I find it amusing when some get worked up over what they call ‘Russian propaganda.’ The real difference is cultural, not some inherent uniqueness.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@DarthInvader i’m not talking about propaganda. I’m talking about the way they are their mental disposition. Their overall mentality and way of expressing themselves.

@Ferise1 🤦‍♂ok. Mate
Compared to Europeans, Americans are far more polite. Although, their politeness is not always genuine. Europeans also know how to mind their own business. Americans are very intrusive.
