Springsteen. I do like some of his songs, but, overall, nah.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout he fits there with Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Better writing than singing.

@YourMomsSecretCrush Bruce's first two albums were great. After that, hit and miss.

Bob Dylan. Great writer and awful singer in my opinion, but lots of people love him

Ain't the interweb grand? Imagine someone telling you a generation or so back that you could send recordings over the air by using a keyboard and a screen with lyrics on another page and an explanation of the lyrics on another... in a matter of minutes total.
The ack sounds - being playful with the language:

@FreeSpirit1 Absolutely. Hendrix layed down All Along the Watch Tower and Dylan with the rest of us loved it.

I hate to say this because I do enjoy a few of her songs..but Taylor Swift. And I think she's an awesome human being too!! But I feel the media on her is WAYYY above pretty much anyone.

Janis was not overrated...Adele is!

Celine Dion. Her singing makes me want to pierce my eardrums.

@bijouxbroussard of what?
bijouxbroussard · F
@Jeephikelove She’s talented and she’s pretty. And she experiments with different genres and has been successful. There’s no reason to dislike her, yet some people do, on a visceral level.

He HAS to make those rubbery faces and dance like a madman to distract from the fact he can't sing!

All of them.

Janis Joplin, agreed. I remember people saying she was the "ultimate white blues singer" but there were so many better vocalists who would come along. Amy Winehouse, for example.

The qualifier "white" usually means second-rate. In her case that was painfully true.
Sometimes trying too hard to be soulful by screeching leaves the crowd wondering what the hell they're listening to.

One of those singers you either (almost) worship or (pretty much) can't stand. No in between...
