My parents' era would be the 1940s, mostly, I guess. I think Les Brown's band played at their wedding.

Neil is amazing!! With Tom, there'd be loud women screaming, but with his voice rising above it like some heroic yodelling mountaineer.

I'd love to see what doesn't exist anymore The Carpenters.

I'd love to see Tom Jones!!
Thrust · 56-60, M
He told me they were always getting sloshed on the trips... i guess my dad must have over served them

The others yes, but not Bachman. He's always been a Mormon teetotlar. Rejecting the rock n roll excess was the biggest reason he first left them

Was supposed to see the Drifters awhile back but their latest lead singer died the night before 🤷

The ones I would love to see and hear are gone.

@rinkydinkydoink my dad told the story of being stranded waiting for the band he was to play in and ended up at a college and talking himself into a music scholarship. By the way, the band was a little known crooner naked Crosby.
@samueltyler2

Bob's older brother?!

FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
Bachman Turner Overdrive
@FreeSpirit1 nice! when randy bachman was part of the guess who my dad was a flight attendant with cp air...he told me they were always getting sloshed on the trips... i guess my dad must have over served them 🤣
ABBA and Neil Diamond were our generation too. Definitely not Lawrence Welk, my mother made us watch him every saturday night, my Dad would have rather watched Elvis, my mother hated Elvis.
@NativePortlander1970 they were part of our generation but if you saw my record collection you'd see that abba's greatest hits weren't next to iron maiden's number of the beast 🤣
@beermeplease I had every ABBA record, I loved them, I also had every Neil Diamond 45.
