All I have to say is...

You kids missed a good time.

It was wild back in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I myself was born in the early 1970's but old enough to go out and experience the 80's.

The culture and music of today is sooooo boring.

Have to say I disagree. The 2000s were my time in my early twenties. You had an indie scene where new bands where completely taking over and giving us great sounds.

Also nu metal acts from the late 90s mostly came into their own in the 2000s.

I had an epic time.

I was a teen in the 80's,but was never a wild child.
I think we had more of a sense of security than kids do now.
We weren't peers with the adults in our lives and had no desire to be.
I feel I missed out. I was born in 84 and it was cool but watching the Internet take over hasn't been pleasant.
Punches · 46-50, F
I grew up in the 80's mostly. There was a lot of fun and colorful things. Music was awesome.

But yeah right about the time 1990 started, everything started getting drab. Been on the decline since.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@Punches It started after 9/11. It's like the energy changed after that. The world has not been the same.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
Yes people are soooo boring and uncreative now. It's like they're competing to see who can be the most angry or sad.
So much negativity in today's world. I'm glad you were able to experience the beautiful algorithm of the days gone by. Especially in the 1980s.
The 1990s was fun too. Happy New Year 🕛. 😉

I`m sorry I missed it too. 😬

‘64 here

I wish I knew then what I know now. I woulda seen more concerts!
Morvoren · F
Maybe you’re just doing it wrong. Go to a Prodigy or Slipknot concert then tell how it’s all the same.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Morvoren Oh my argument is not that they aren't still touring and recording, rather their time of relevance was 20-30 years ago...I just find that a strange rebut for another user saying the best time for culture was the 60's, 70's and 80's...I would have expected artists that are current right now that you think compare to the 60's-80's...
Morvoren · F
@SumKindaMunster So you think they are only relevant when they release their debut albums? Well that’s fanciful.

Bear in mind how the generation who came before you also looked down their noses at your music. It’s what people do when they are phasing out, they try to cheapen it for whoever comes next.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Morvoren Way to miss the point and take offense from your mistake.

I'm not bashing your favorite bands.

I still listen to the bands of my youth...they still make albums and tour..but I wouldn't make the argument that they represent the music of today and hold them up as examples of relevant bands in the 2020's.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
80’s were great
@Miklee02 wish I was around for the 60's, the music, cars and Oh those miniskirts
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@saragoodtimes yeah would’ve been a fun era to grow up in
@Miklee02 my parents were teens in the 60's love their stories but bet they're not telling all
