My desire is to buy a Video Camera plus a still camera with large zoom lens. Video Camera - $600? Still Camera - $800? Zoom Lens - $1000 minimum. Not prepared to spend that amount of money at this point in time.
@scorpiolovedeep I've purchased a few things for myself these past 3 years or so. I don't have much that brings me joy these days, so I look for it myself in distractions, and hobbies I can immerse myself in. It's worth it to me right now.
I would love to learn to rock the drums. I cannot think of any frivolous purchases. I am single and I have to take care of my home, my jeep, my dogs, etc. It is enough. Sometimes I buy little things. I keep life simple. That works best.
@PoetryNEmotion I understand. I have purged nearly every room in the house and garage - ridding myself of anything I don't actually use anymore. I don't spend much on me, but when I do, I budget and save to buy exactly what I want. Most of the time, it has been worth it.
@Justmeraeagain I'm stuffy and practical most if the time. But when I've got to purchase something I buy the best I can so I hopefully don't have to keep replacing it. Doesn't always work out but I try.
Another lifetime, in the same places, with my same friends, and do all the things that I was afraid to do in my first lifetime. No inhibitions, no problems, because I'll be a lifetime wiser.
Maybe not silly, but completely uncharacteristic of me, I want an electric guitar with amp, and an effects pedal. Not to play heavy metal or anything, I just love the tones and the resonance you can achieve, not to mention the scope of effects available.
Was inspired by a music Prof turned producer, and a profile of some guitar rigs.
Something as subtle as using a soft, flexible guitar pick with dimples can give a double strum quality, used to craft your own playing style.
I think the drums are a great idea. Especially if you're sense of rhythm is good. They can be a gentle backing accompaniment, a soft brush like in jazz; or the center of a solo.
I just bought a new laptop, and I love it. I got it as a backup for my other one. I see it now on sale with a larger SSD, and I want to get that one, too. It is crazy having three virtually identical laptops,
I am buying things for my son without thinking too much about the use or price. I am not very pleasant looking so seldom anything looks good on me so I don't waste money on myself - dress, shoes, make up or hair etc
@Donotfolowme Because I see you on here. You are a good person. A kind one. So take some of that kindness and share it for you! You could take better care of you. Stop dissing yourself. Think.
