Mostly a bass player (Fender VIs) but love my 1970s Univox Les Paul sunburst; Ive had people try to trade me "real" Gibsons for that Univox after they played it.
@Arorin I keep what sounds good, that I enjoy playing, could care less about putting something aside to save because it has a fancy name. Fenders, Gibsons, Univox, Epiphone, Gretch, Yamaha, Ibanerz, Greco, Danelectro -- had them all over the decades.
@ChipmunkErnie im just talking about investments is all. There is nothing wrong with making a buck here and there. I mean i prefer my jackson and its not nearly as expensive as most my stuff
there's no reason for why it should have that much mass, which is why I dislike eletric guitars. There's no reason for it's shape besides that it's called "guitar" which used to be all acoustic
@MartinTheFirst yes, it does. Next you're gonna say that tube vs solid state in an amp doesn't make a difference. Clearly you don't play metal and you don't shred.
Awesome guitar, man. My main guitar at the moment is the Dean Dimebag signature. Passive pickups. Working on restoring an old B.C Rich Warlock with active EMG 81 and 85 in.
@basilfawlty89 I have a dean as well. it is a vinnie moore sig trans black flame maple top. Amazing playability with a floyd rose bridge.
I have those pickups in my custom V i had built for me. Sounds good but my evil twin is just slightly better. My best pickups are my Dimarzio Titans but their in my baratone.
@basilfawlty89 I am super impressed with my DiMarzio Titans. I put them in my baratone when i modded it. Originally it only came with one pickup and i wanted two. I would chose them over my seymour and EMG but EMG comes close.
