Another guitar

This is my heaviest guitar, almost double the weight of any guitar I've had. Second most expensive and sounds the best with active pickups.

Mostly a bass player (Fender VIs) but love my 1970s Univox Les Paul sunburst; Ive had people try to trade me "real" Gibsons for that Univox after they played it.

@ChipmunkErnie I had a Rickenbacker 4001 once and sold it years ago. Do I regret it? ABSOLUTELY😫
Arorin · M
@ChipmunkErnie why would they do that? A google seach shows a 1970 univox sells for around 500, and a old gibson is in the 1000s?
Arorin · M
@caesar7 id hold onto an old rickenbacker for sure.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@Arorin Because it plays so much better than the Gibsons. I've had several Gibson Les Pauls and Les Paul Juniors over the decades, and none played as nicely as the Univox.

@ChipmunkErnie yeah i understand that for sure but gibson is iconic and holds its vaule. I would take the ginson put it in storage and play the ones i like the most.

@Arorin I keep what sounds good, that I enjoy playing, could care less about putting something aside to save because it has a fancy name. Fenders, Gibsons, Univox, Epiphone, Gretch, Yamaha, Ibanerz, Greco, Danelectro -- had them all over the decades.

@ChipmunkErnie im just talking about investments is all. There is nothing wrong with making a buck here and there. I mean i prefer my jackson and its not nearly as expensive as most my stuff

@Arorin Good luck.
