Sometimes TV series can go on too long and lose the plot

Handmaids Tale degenerated after a while. I sort of was interested for three series, after that? I think it went over long.
Rectify. Watchable for three series, after that, became rather slow.
The Wire - Five Series, 60 episodes. I found this truly compelling viewing

depends on the series. Breaking bad is a prime example of a show that went on for a perfect length
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Torsten I stopped watching after two and a half series 🤷‍♂️
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Gusman damn you are missing out in that case. the series kept getting better and better
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@Gusman That show was excellent till the last episode which is rare.
Walking dead...OMG! What the hell is that about anymore? When that chic took over running the show...it died.
Every instinct was dead wrong! When Rick left or what ever...they shouldn't have killed his kid. That was stupid. and then Carol and Darryl turned into house broken pets. Boring! the story is stupid now and i just want it to end! Thank God it is almost done! i hope all of the characters die...please!
@Gusman i loved the first 8 years and then splat...what a mess
Gusman · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS Wow, 8 years? I see there were 11 seasons. 174 episodes. And here I gave up not finishing the the first season. 😄
@Gusman it gets better and better and then it just fell apart. i think when the kid dies it fell apart
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
I find most shows should wrap up within 3 seasons, it's the beginning the middle and the end.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Longpatrol I agree. Desperation sets in after series three.
How can we keep this show interesting? Let's become absurd.
