Thoughts about Terminator 3......

Although the Terminator 3 movie is rightly considered to a an average entry in the franchise, there is one part of the movie that I will always treasure:the opening sequence with TX Kristina Lokken walking nude across the street.First rate!

That movie lacked substance and basically was a rehash on estrogen. Like many similar thematic approaches you see in contemporary hero films today with a Mary Sue character lacking any real depth, character development, or appealing qualities. The script takes a one dimensional approach while the storyline and believability suffer. The first movie that I've fallen asleep to, right there in the theater, in a long time.

The fourth installment was better with a decent story to tell and some relatable fear, dread, and hope to convey. A good popcorn flick. But after that, it was just straight downhill at the box office while dragging the Terminator image and good name through mud. In summary, if there is another installment I'll wait for it to quickly go to Netflix and then...

...Not rent it.

@PatKirby I liked In Time as well-much more so than the critics did,as I recall.(Although I still cant figure out how Amanda Seyfried did all that running in 3 in high heels!)Anon was done by the same writer/director.Youll like it.

In a life of no real privacy it seems difficult to believe an assassin could hide, unless it was through weaknesses via system proxies. I liked how she was able to hide so well by using the algorithm itself to place multitude parts of herself in numerous areas within cyberspace, only to reveal when and where she wanted. This pseudo-dystopian who-done-it well woven story in art deco was masterfully put together. May actually buy the DVD just to have on hand. Most enjoyable.

Where's the popcorn, gotta watch it again for detail.

@PatKirby Ah,you took my advice and watched the movie!I thought youd like it.And I agree that the movie needs a rewatch if only to read all of those random info screens in detail. The only real problem I had with the movie is that the ending fell somwhat flat, but hey,few things are absolutely perfect.FYI:if you like Amanda Seyfried, you should Google a short video that was posted of her on a sport court playing a variation of Tennis called Pickleball-and she was running around in bare feet!
I saw 2 doods kissing in a park once . It was the gayest thing id ever seen until I saw terminator 3…
It did nothing to advance the story at all..

The first two were the best. I saw Terminator 3 and it wasn't as good. Terminator: Salvation was somewhat better than Rise of the Machines. I stopped watching the Terminator movies after that. Didn't even bother with Genysis and Dark Fate.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Barefooter25 Genysis was decent;Dark Fate was a dry hump.

everybody says Stopafter 2, I say stop after 3, it's not Terminator without the Governator, and yes it's not the high of two but it rounds out the story well.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@RoxClymer The movie wasnt great and probably not even necessary, but that wasnt the point of my post.

DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@England66 Whos dreaming?Im not talking about going out with her,Im just admiring the view!
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@England66 You know what would have made the movie better? The T-X deciding that she didnt need clothes to complete her mission.
England66 · 61-69, M
@DavidT8899 So true
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
