Those kids loved Seven Samurai 😄

They didn’t want to admit, but they did. These teens were totally not into it at first, all thinking an old black and white film was going to boring, but they laughed at the humorous moments, were engaged throughout the action sequences, they enjoyed it! I like to think if any director could leave an impression on a younger generation, it would be Akira Kurosawa

PBS showed it when I was kid and that’s how I learned to appreciate the role of the director.

One of the greatest (if not *the*) movies ever!
George Lucas basically owes his entire career to Kurosawa. Without 7Sam, there would be no Star Wars franchise.
@funfan "Hidden Fortress" was the basis for "Star Wars".
