Yankee Doodle Dandy, West Side Story and The Graduate, Saturday Night Fever, Grease and The Lords of Flatbush have great soundtracks.

If you can set aside the worst acting in any major movie ever made (Steve Allen as Benny Goodman) then The Benny Goodman Story is a must see if you like Big Band music.

The movie that hasn't been made - - read up on the night the Goodman band played Carnegie Hall. There was an even better show going on at the Savoy with Chick Webb vs Count Basie. As soon as the boys in the Goodman band were done at Carnegie Hall they raced on over to that event.

Drive Well, Sleep Carefully - On the Road with Death Cab for Cutie
The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story
I never really watched any, but three I did see was Jethro Tull Luve at Madison Square Gsrden in 1978, The Last Waltz, about The Band, and Urgh, a music war 1980, that had Oingo Boingo, Gogos, Dead Kennedys, DEVO, Orshestral Manouevres, The Cramps, XTC, Gary Numan, and others.
@Lugwho A very diverse line up up of early 80's punk and hard rock, Joan Jett and The Police are included as well.

@NativePortlander1970 I'm surprised I haven't come across this before, it's right in my time and tastes.
@Lugwho I discovered it in 1985 at a mini mall video store, when they were still independently run before blockbuster and hollywood video.
