I found something interesting and very moving…

This cartoon appeared in Harper’s Weekly magazine on April 22, 1865, depicting two Union soldiers after the end of the Civil War. It was rather controversial at the time.

Sadly, it might still cause comment even now in some circles.

So I feel like this is partly what I have been saying in regards to Gaza /Israel.

I'm not really following the news much because it's too painful for me.

But this was more in regards to Eurovision. I personally was all for the "united by the music."

That's not me condoning anything going on. But in War what we always see is two sides fighting because of governments and politicians.

But the people that suffer are innocent, civilians, soldiers, women and children, land and all it's inhibitors.
It's sad.

The pain is no less painful on either side.

But I find when your for or against a side.

Humanity gets lost and the hate thrives...it's sad.

I hope that by the end of this all, having a heart and offering some kindness becomes the new thing.
@Mellowgirl That’s a very complicated situation.

@bijouxbroussard Indeed but 2 wrongs don't make a right. I'm not for or against anything. I would like the bloodshed to end.
@Mellowgirl Absolutely.

It is very moving. I think anyone who has even a shred of humanity would think so.

Yes, I can just imagine what some would say about it now, likely something about it being "woke" or that it promotes the dreaded DEI.
But so true. A man knows a man. Women, too.

Problem is the war never ends. It only changes directions.

Life is change. Directions, change doesn't care about.

The only consistency in change is the direction of time. Which is always forward. For even change, changes in its rate of change over time.

True.... sadly, not a lot has changed. Only going backwards it seems currently. 😞

You, more than anyone else, know that it certainly would.

What’s taken from us never defines what we offer...only what we extend.

the alternative would be to hate one another til their dying day.

that takes a lot of energy to maintain.

the war was over and their obligation to hate and kill one another no longer existed.
