Did the big bang come from Nothing? Who created the 'Nothing' ?

SnailTeeth · 36-40
Tbh, humans should just say they don't know... We assume there's a beginning/end because we observe a beginning and end to almost everything with the naked eye. But we're in the belly of a beast, we cannot begin to comprehend.

A better question to ask... With so many people claiming they follow the right God, and some people even claiming to be God, who's really to say who's right?

Personally, I'm open to the idea of a greater plan, but I think that's just a self-soothing lie. I think it's easier to put a lot of your fears and worries on the God shelf, because it's a rubick's cube your mind is incapable of solving. Some people obsess over it, some people try and stow their justifications for doing things up there (claiming it's part of a higher plan, to disavow themselves). A lot of people have difficulty admitting when they're wrong, or that maybe they're fundamentally bad people. It's not an easy pill to swallow, but I think living grounded is better than hoping for all your dreams and wishes to be hiding in the clouds. Just my opinion. It is comforting though, to imagine God, and such a beautiful place as Heaven. I'll give you that.
@SnailTeeth good answer

The big bang didn't come from nothing and might not of even created the universe as such. I mean a lot of scientists believe all the energy in the universe was once compressed into a really small singularity of ultra incredible density which then sorta exploded making the universe rapidly expand. Or something along that line.

So nobody really knows what existed before it happened or where all the energy came from. Or why it even happened? I mean its only a best guess that the universe did start from a small singularity you know 20 years from now they might discover something that totally writes the big bang theory off and then they'll think something else created the universe.🤷😄

The law of conservation of energy says that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Only changed from one form to another.

Albert Einstein said that matter and energy are two sides of the same coin. Matter can be turned into energy and energy can be turned into matter.

Time and space didn't exist before the Big Bang, they were both a by product of it's creation.

So.... there has never been nothing, there has always been energy. The energy has always existed and always will exist, no one created it.

This is how it was explained to me in physics class. I'm not saying this is right, I don't think anyone really knows.
@AshAnnJen2003 excellent. You remember very well

Nope it did. I'm going to have to pull out my Geology notes from last semester to refresh myself, ( I helped a student in a HS Geology class. I did the work/ notes, too.)
@Eeyore122 what has that to do with my question ?lol
Eeyore122 · 36-40, F
@Evolved idk I guess nothing, other than I'll get back to you
Ironicman · 56-60, M
There is no such thing as nothing because nothing is something..
@Ironicman so nothing exists? as something?
Funlov · M
Never liked that tv show lol 😊
@Funlov haha, same here...it's a little 'corney' ..lol
Funlov · M
@Evolved no a big tv guy to much to do in live more interesting 😊
@Funlov yes, the prelude to the big bang is quite good though, Young Sheldon?
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
No who existed. What created nothing?'
@Burnley123 That's exactly my question, who or what created the Nothing?
Eeyore122 · 36-40, F
All comes back to Hydrogen gas...
@Eeyore122 I don't think hydrogen existed either ?
You’re asking this in a section devoted to a television sitcom? Take it to a science location.
@BlueSkyKing I still don't understand ? What picture ? where? that picture has nothing to do with me..hahaha
@Evolved
Perhaps I don’t understand. Is the post about science and philosophy or something else? This is the section for the TV show.
@BlueSkyKing if I have to explain tis to you then you don't deserve to on the right section. hahahaha
Ironicman · 56-60, M
@Evolved yes but not in a physical sense that we can detect (yet). The potential and energy of nothing is there in a void sense and creates space for something to occupy. Nothing can be vast and minute.
@Ironicman So you don't know or are not sure?
DDonde · 31-35, M
Nobody knows. Our model of physics breaks down when describing anything before a certain point.
@DDonde So science has limitations ?
DDonde · 31-35, M
@Evolved Yes, our understanding of physics is incomplete. Maybe one day we could understand what happened before the big bang, but not right now.
@DDonde oh rite..
