Tbh, humans should just say they don't know... We assume there's a beginning/end because we observe a beginning and end to almost everything with the naked eye. But we're in the belly of a beast, we cannot begin to comprehend.

A better question to ask... With so many people claiming they follow the right God, and some people even claiming to be God, who's really to say who's right?

Personally, I'm open to the idea of a greater plan, but I think that's just a self-soothing lie. I think it's easier to put a lot of your fears and worries on the God shelf, because it's a rubick's cube your mind is incapable of solving. Some people obsess over it, some people try and stow their justifications for doing things up there (claiming it's part of a higher plan, to disavow themselves). A lot of people have difficulty admitting when they're wrong, or that maybe they're fundamentally bad people. It's not an easy pill to swallow, but I think living grounded is better than hoping for all your dreams and wishes to be hiding in the clouds. Just my opinion. It is comforting though, to imagine God, and such a beautiful place as Heaven. I'll give you that.
