Antiheroes and villains are more interesting because they are relatable. Pure heros have no social parallel.

And people who believe themselves to be pure and wholesome are generally the most abominable. Take the religious, they’ll murder you with a hymn or verse in their heart, and believe themselves to be clean.

Totally get that. Annoys me how some of the religious fanatics will bend their faith and convince themselves that all would be forgiven when they do something out of order..

this is why i prefer using the alignment chart, lawful/neutral/chaotic? good/neutral/evil?

take your religious example, as long as they keep to the commandments they can be considered lawful. the genuinely nice people would be lawful/good, the ones that preach in the street their fear mongering doctrine about hell and sin would be Lawful/Evil.

if they break the commandments then they become Chaotic. choosing to support your lgbt child at risk of being shunned by the community would be Chaotic/Good. being a priest that inappropriately touches kids would be Chaotic/Evil
Most people can't handle an honest and dark perspective. It threatens their beloved facade.
@MarbleMarvel Very true.

Sure that is true , but like all of them there is a weakness that will destroy them .
@Fa8393 Everyone has weakness.

@Fa8393 You’re suggesting you don’t have a weakness?

Woah now I'm looking for my abominations, I mean I know I'm not perfect but I can't put my finger on anybody nicer than I am.
But there has been no pure hero
Everyone has faults
But you are right
