Thoughts on new Alien movie?

I seen it and really love it. They do have the aliens in it but they did it differently. I may be kind of twisted but I found the beginning hilarious. However I really like the character of David. I liked him in Prometheus and where they went with the movie. I mean you can kind of predict it but in a way it surprised me because they didn't have something cut and paste.

It's one of those movies that when you really like it.. you like it but when you hate it.. you hate it.

I don't really get the criticism most people have it seems like they don't really get the meaning of it all and just wanted some plot that's been done for the last 50 years as most people's complaints were:

THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE HORROR ELEMENTS THAT HORROR MOVIES HAVE BEEN DOING FOR 50 YEARS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 😪

It's good...not Alien good though that's the way horror works now, it HAS to be action horror to be good which is a problem with the audience sadly.

@satanburger: Exactly, Covenant was trying to be two kinds of film and it stretched itself quite thin in that regard, it did well enough though.

@Fangirlsarah1996: I personally liked Covenant a lot and liked where they went with it. I may buy it just to have it. I'll probably buy Covenant, the first Alien movie and also Prometheus just because lol.

@satanburger: Plus Covenant was setting up the new trilogy...of course it won't answer any questions ;)

But yh I'm totally getting it when it comes out :)
