Westworld (1973)
Two tourists check into Delos, a futuristic theme park where you can "experience" the Old West. One guest, a wealthy man, is assigned to the Gunslinger - a towering android programmed to be a menacing but ultimately harmless villain.
The twist: The Gunslinger malfunctions. He's no longer following his script. Now he's a relentless, unkillable killing machine with a gun, and he's yours.
The survival: You're in a closed park. No one's coming to help. The staff are panicking, the other androids are going haywire, and the Gunslinger keeps finding you - in the saloon, in the train station, in the streets. You shoot him, he gets up. You burn him down, he gets up. He's faster, stronger, and doesn't feel pain.
The goal: Get to the exit. Don't get caught. Survive until the power gets cut.
That's basically it. A man vs. an unstoppable android in a walled-off arena. Terminator meets The Running Man meets a western.
