About the Little House reboot .....

Netflix will soon release a reboot of the T.V series Little House On The Prairie.While it's obviously too soon to make a final judgement ,there are actually some encouraging signs .They reportedly plan on making the show faithful to the books they were based on rather than a nostalgic copy of the original series .It's a smart move ; to try to " out Landon" Micheal Landon would be doomed from the start .Who knows ? It might work out all right !

I'm somewhat skeptical about remakes and re-boots.

For that reason alone, I prefer the originals.

@Sidewinder I agree with the skepticism; most remakes don't work out .But some do ,and from what I've seen in the trailers ,there's enough for me personally to give it a chance .

Most remakes are a letdown no matter how hard they try. When you have an image of the original in your mind and that original was very popular it seems that a remake is doomed for failure.

@cherokeepatti I agree that they odds are against it ,but I wouldn't say doomed .A few do actually match or even exceed the original .
