My best friend does this all the time. He talks about books and shows that he knows I have no interest in, but I listen because it is what he is interested in and his explaining certain parts tells me more about him and what he likes, dislikes and what things he values.

Yep happened to me the other day. I even told her I didn't like the movie and she spent the next 20 minutes talking about it.

That happens to me from time to time. I also get a little irritated when someone asks me if I saw this "such" movie that I never even heard about before.

I dislike it more when someone tells me I just have to watch a particular show "because it's great!" with no actual reasons or anything about it.
