Watching "Columbo" reruns on Pluto TV…

And I’d forgotten just how annoying the Detective really is before he solves the crime.

Lol…… very true.

You actually gave me a blast from the past. Remember this?

The NBC Sunday Mystery Movie

The three original 1971–1972 season shows of The NBC Mystery Movie were:

McCloud, starring Dennis Weaver as a rural Taos, New Mexico lawman temporarily assigned to the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Inspired by the Clint Eastwood 1968 film Coogan's Bluff, the show debuted the previous season as part of the hour-long NBC wheel show Four in One.

Columbo, starring Peter Falk as a deceptively bumbling Los Angeles homicide detective. The series was derived from a 1968 made-for-television movie, Prescription: Murder, which starred Falk in the same role.

McMillan & Wife, starring Rock Hudson and Susan Saint James as a husband-and-wife crime-fighting duo. Hudson's character was a hip, sophisticated San Francisco city police commissioner. Saint James later left the series and it was renamed McMillan.
@bijouxbroussard And Mannix!

Didn’t realize until googling just now that Robert Reed (Brady Bunch) and Larry Linville (Mash) were in that show.
@OlderSometimesWiser That’s right ! I also didn’t know Mike Connors (born Krekor Ohanian) was Armenian and spoke the language fluently until seeing episodes where he spoke it.

@OlderSometimesWiser remember it well

Yes, watching the 'good old' TV shows can make you squirm at how you ever managed to enjoy them. Having said that, some are worth seeking out for being ahead of their time in their attitudes and refusal to pander to short attention spans.

If you have Peacock or Amazon Prime you can watch these on demand as well instead of just having to watch the ones that they decide to air.

In any case, good show. My grandmother used to watch Murder, She Wrote, which was created by the same people who created this.

Remember the series well. There's a new series that I find similar. Elsbeth 2024- on CBS.
@DeWayfarer That’s on Paramount+, which I have. I will check it out.

What?! I love him! 😭
@DearAmbellina2113 Ultimately, hé’s brilliant, but while he’s getting there I sometimes want to shake him. 😅

I always found the best way to watch that show was to skip the first 5 minutes and then treat it as a "whodunnit" instead of a "weknowwhodiddit".

It would be great to see a crossover with him and Matlock solving a crime together
