Blade Runner, the best Sci-fi movie ever, is getting a third part TV series sequel on Prime sometime this year. It titled Blade Runner 2099. 50 years after the 2nd. Hopefully they do a better job than Blade Runner 2049 which completely altered the book sequel and broke the intended story line.
Yes it's my opinion Blade Runner is the best Sci-fi flick ever. You cannot convince me otherwise. If I want something to melt my mind I'll watch 2001 & 2010 a Space Odyssey. There are 2 more that were not put to film. 2063 and 3001. Clark faught the monolith with every virus type man ever developed but Independence Day was released and didn't want to be accused of copying.

I agree. The 1st Blade Runner was Amazing!

Still like the original release better than the directors cut! I just hope it's better than the second Dune!

@GerOttman I agree. The directors cut removed Deckards narrative which supplied the audience with some back story. The 2nd movie tossed out the 2nd book, written by one of Dicks students, out the window. I actually think his story tied in better with the first then what the writers and producers gave us. Both movies toss out the laws and importance of real animals in the original story Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

@Gibbon I read it years after seeing the movie and found it a challenging read. I also remember seeing the Mars movie with Arnold and saying, "Hey I think I read that once", just before "We can remember it for you Wholesale" popped up in the credits!

@GerOttman I think having seen the movie first caused that. Reading the book first leaves one thinking about all the society issues left out of the movie.
Any idea which service the series will be on?

@Mindfulness As stated in the post it will be on Prime the Amazon network.
The old and new versions are slower than 2x turtles screwing in jelly 🤓

Needs more chases and dragons

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I disagree regarding the original. The 2nd I didn't appreciate having read the book which is a much better story than the movie gave us.

'Alien' shares the same movie Universe as the 'Bladerunner' franchise I'm praying for a crossover soon 🙏
