Nickelodeon all the way, all thanks to Avatar: The Last Airbender

Back in the 1950's, most of the cartoons on television were ones that had been shown in movie theaters in earlier years. Here is one, made in 1935. I saw plenty of old Betty Boop cartoons on TV in the 50's.

They weren't around when I was kid.

We had shows like Mr. Wizard, Howdy Doody, Captain Kangaroo, The Little Rascals, The Atom Ant & Secret Squirrel Show, The Mickey Mouse Club, The Archie Show, H.R. Pufnstuf, Scooby Doo, Flipper, Gumby, Mister Rogers and many many more
Actual kids tv program weekdays in Australia.

Agro’s cartoon connection.

I don’t know how they got away with it 🤓

Nope, we couldn't afford Sky or the Internet when I was a child. We were even pretty late on the scene with Disney films.

Nickelodeon until my parents decided that all of it was a bad influence. 🤔 Then I didn't really watch much of anything for a long time. 😅
