Inspector Morse, A Touch of Frost, and Columbo are three of my all-time favorite detective series. Didn't care that much for Poirot.
Since you're a fan of Morse, you might be interested in the prequel series, Endeavour (2012-2023), and the spin-off series, Lewis (2006-2015), which features Morse's former colleague, Robbie Lewis. I've seen both series and I highly recommend them.

I'm sure you've already seen then but Sherlock Holmes played by Jeremy Brett. There are many great performance of Holmes but Brett is the master.

@Justice4All Thanks for the analysis. Yes you are right. However, I liked the way Peter Falk acted in Colombo. I will look up for your suggestions. I think Chief Inspector Morse has been a very good series.
