James Bond vs. Ethan Hunt.

Who is the better spy in your opinion?
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Bond is a terrible spy, not only do all his enemies know who he is, he bloody introduces himself.

Easiest way to kill him is to fuck up his martini
@Longpatrol Which leaves him shaken, but not stirred.

Bond gets the girls and gets the job done. Hunt just gets the job done. So Bond wins panties down.
Hunt feels more legit more grounded in reality, for an action film., Bond is a cartoon character, for the most part
@Ghostinthemachine According to the late Sir Christopher Lee, Ian Flemming based Bond off of him, they were buddies in the British SAS together during WW II.
@NativePortlander1970 I’ve heard that Bond was based off of a Canadian secret agent that Fleming met while training in Canada

@Ghostinthemachine Never trust wikipedia.

Ethan because he does his own (CGI'd) stunts.

Is this the part where most of us say "who is Ethan Hunt" which by proxy makes him a better spy for being more culturally incognito ?
Deceased · M
Ethan Hunt. Plus he just seems all around less likely to bring #MeToo allegations down on himself and therefore bring shame to the entire agency. But hell I've been wrong before. Maybe as the greatest spy in the world he's 5 times worse than Bond and just more talented at hiding it.
James Bond of course, if only because I've never even heard of Ethan Hunt. What show was he in? Or movie?

@Cassie2083 Mission Impossible: Tom Cruise

I don't watch either of them much but Tom Cruise is a badass so I'll say he's a better spy
What about Simon Templar?
@Jacko1971 Maybe not in the traditional way, but he still used cloak and dagger to help others.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@NativePortlander1970 I never read the books. I have seen a few of the Roger Moore shows. I remember him being a jewel thief first an foremost. In my youth I watched The Return of the Saint but I don't remember anything about it except for the car.
@Jacko1971 An uncle had all the books and shows on VHS, he always claimed that Simon Templar was far superior to Bond and IMF.
