First and third; not so keen on the second.

@Fluffybull I'm with you. The second one is too complicated for me.

Two is also my favourite but it's one of those where you have to see the original first to fully appreciate how good two is at mixing the timelines together.
So without seeing the first film the second wouldn't be as good. Making the first one maybe better as a stand alone movie. Like if you was only going to watch one of them then the first one is probably the best, but if you watch all three back to back then the second one is easily the best because it has far more depth than the other two films, and intelligently interlinks all three films together but the other two films probably work better on there own where you could watch either of them without seeing the other two films.
But it's a good question though as they're all good films in there own right but anyone who's seen all three knows Back to the Future 2 is the best!!!
I'm joking I'm joking!!! LOLZ!😅

The second one is my favourite too. It's been a long time since I've seen any of them but I think I just thought it was the most interesting, plus I was a kid and seeing what the future might be like was exciting.
But I saw the movies in backwards order because they played part 3 constantly on TV, sometimes 2 but never 1 until I was... I'm not sure now, late teens or early 20s.
Now that I think about it, I don't know why I never rented it, instead of just waiting for it to be on TV.

#1 because it's our first introduction to the Delorean and Doc Brown, 88 miles/hr, and the grandfather paradox. It sets the stage and whets our appetite for more of the duo.
#2 is a close second, because of the multiple periods; and the inevitable chaos a visit to the future would cause.....like sports betting.
Overall, great films.
