"The Bear" on Hulu

Musicman · 61-69, M
We just finished watching Pearson. That was a spinoff of Suits. Now we have just started Borgen on Netflix.
room101 · 51-55, M
@Musicman Borgen is Danish. The original language is Danish. Is it possible that you've set up your Netflix to always show you stuff in English and that you're actually watching a dubbed version of the show?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@room101 Actually I think you are right on it being dubbed. It seems a lot of Netflix shows these days are foreign and dubbed into English.
room101 · 51-55, M
@Musicman Yep. I live in Spain and it happens to me all the time. Not just with Netflix but with most of the streaming platforms. Everything is dubbed into Spanish so I have to specifically change the language settings to whatever the original was.

I don't mind reading subtitles. To me, it's way better than being subjected to some nonsense "voice actor".
hunkalove · 61-69, M
The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (1959-1963). On YouTube.
Tetsuya · 51-55, M
@hunkalove fantastic show

@hunkalove hmmm.....
AstroZombie · 36-40, M
I'm prepping to cosplay a character from a long running anime sometime in August or later, so lately I've been binge watching the Funimation dub of One Piece.
AstroZombie · 36-40, M
@SW-User I definitely will. I'm going to a weekend long convention in July but I've already prepped my line up for all three days so I won't be able to do the One Piece character until at least August anyway.

My friend even made me a template to post on my Instagram to showcase what I'll be doing July 14th-16th ^.^
SW-User
@AstroZombie how cool, hope you have fun :)
AstroZombie · 36-40, M
@SW-User Thank you. I will :)
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
I tried Altered Carbon on Netflix but I didn't like it much.
@Jacko1971 oh I loved it.
Black mirror is what i am into at the moment
SW-User
@nevergiveup what do you like about it?
@SW-User its like a modern day twilight zone. only on series 2 but happy so far
Plenty of shows out there. Just wade thru the descriptions and see what strikes you.

I'd seen a bit of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Not the campy old show it once was. Or how about That '90's Show? Not as good as the '70's, but maybe you'd like it. Strange New Worlds was good. High School DxD is pretty good. If you're into fast paced cooky humor, Excel Saga is one of my favorites.
TexChik · F
Joe Pickett. Season 2 is week by week; season one is there to binge. Also, Jack Ryan is good if you like spy action thrillers. 4 seasons last season is weekly now.

If you are a little open-minded and like magic and monsters... Grimm is good, and a lot of binging. It was surprisingly good and they actually concluded the storyline.

Musicman · 61-69, M
@Havesomefun2 That show is frigging awesome! I couldn't stop watching it.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
Boon
If you're outside of the UK you'll do well to get hold of this (ITV-X)
It's from my youth so neither the acting nor the storylines are that well polished but I think it could have a cult following. Of course you'll recognise the theme tune:

Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@GeniUs I think he played a character called Sammy the chamois. Other than that, I don't remember anything.
Michael Elphick was in quite a few things back then.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
@Jacko1971 I remember watching it back in the day and thinking it was another version of 'Minder' but he's already been beaten up more times than won fights!
Worth watching just to see the topics of the times, 'racism' seems to be a big one. The basic premise is Boon is retired from the fire service through injury and advertises his services 'will do anything legal' replies to Box 13 (boxes I don't know if that's still a thing!) I feel like emulating him just to see what jobs come in!
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@GeniUs it's interesting timing as Angela Thorne died recently.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
"Finding Your Roots" on PBS on demand.

A lot of them are actors I've never heard of.
jehova · 31-35, M
I watch antenna tv so I get to watch things daily not binge ATM it's buffy the vampire slayer followed by xfiles
jehova · 31-35, M
@SW-User ok check it out a great show from the 90s
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@jehova Buffy and the X Files both went on too long. I get bored after a few series. I won't start anything new that is already more than two series in.
jehova · 31-35, M
@Jacko1971 first world problems eh?
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F

SW-User
@WintaTheAngle i had to read that book in hs
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@WintaTheAngle I vaguely recall that being a film. I think it was Gene Hackman but I might be wrong.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
It's been too hot to watch TV so I've lost touch a bit with what's on.
SW-User
@Jacko1971 no AC?
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@SW-User it's not the thing here. It's not that hot very often.
Dawgsfan3 · 41-45, M

Peripheral

Mr Robot

Counterpart- with J.K Simmons

11/22/63 - James Franco
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@SethGreene531 Peripheral was the one with Chloe Grace Moretz. I watched it just for her. I enjoyed it but I got lost in the plot. Don't ask me to explain what it's about.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
During weekdays I'm binging on Yorkshire Vet lol, I don't think that is for everyone though. :P
SW-User
Depends on what you are into. I've binged several this year but they were all wildly different from each other.
Cigarguy101 · 41-45, M

the original Lost In Space series
SW-User
@Tetsuya *googles "lost in space"... hmmm, seems.... groovy lol
Tetsuya · 51-55, M
@SW-User 1st season was semi serious b/w half hour show, second and third season went full vibrant colors and an hour long format, mostly comedy at that point and some weird set designs
runners up would U.F.O>\. , Space 1999, The Expanse,
Casheyane · F

The Good Place .. really love it!
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@MaxIMich we watched some of that. My wife wasn't taken with it. It was a bit too bizarre for her.

@SW-User I watched an interview once. He claims that he dehydrates for 3 days before filming. That makes the skin thinner and the muscles look bigger. The effect doesn't last long.
SW-User
@Jacko1971 that sounds awful, but it looks amazing.
