(In my best Scotty impression) I prefer the original Enterprise. No bloody A... B... C... OR D!

@Sidewinder I thought it was so fitting that Scotty of all people was caught in a transporter malfunction.

@LordShadowfire Fun fact: James Doohan, the actor who played the role of Scotty served in the Canadian Armed Forces in the Invasion of Normandy during the Second World War. During the landing at Juno Beach, he had his right middle finger shot off, which is why he hardly ever shown his right hand on screen during his acting career.

@Sidewinder I actually read that. He could have just gone with it, but his reasoning was that Scotty wasn't missing a finger. Watching the original series with that in mind, it becomes obvious. But at the time, he was so subtle about it, you just didn't see it.

@LordShadowfire I thought he stored himself in the transporter buffer, so he'd keep looping around until he got rescued.

@Sidewinder what about Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home? When Scotty and Bones go to that manufacturing plant and Scotty is using the keyboard to draw up a schematic for transparent aluminum. The camera clearly shows Scotty's fingers typing. I never noticed a missing finger.

@twiigss It's noticeable when he picks up the mouse and says: "Hello, computer.," assuming that's the way to interact with a 1980's era computer.

@Sidewinder yea I rewatched the scene and I thought I saw something but you really have to be looking for it. And with his hands moving it's easy to miss.
