What's a TV movie you highly recommend? As in a film that never got a cinema release but was made for television.

My go to ones are

Alice in Wonderland (1999) and In the Cold Light of Day (1996)

"The State Within" (2006)

A six part series released by the BBC in 2006, and shown on the cable channel BBC America in 2007, which is where I saw it. An excellent modern day political thriller. Very well written and acted.

Do Netflix films count as made for TV movies? If so, then I'm thinking of ending things.

Salem's Lot. Surprisingly spooky. It was a miniseries, actually, directed by Tobe Hooper(Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist).

I have been searching for a made for TV mini-series that was about desegregation and MLK and the civil rights movement. It was a big deal but I cannot recall the name and struggle to find it in searches.

@JaggedLittlePill "Eyes on the Prize"?
The Last Don (1997). It was actually a miniseries, but a decent one.
