Who fired first? Han or Greedo?

I am reading about that yeah. So who fired first originally?

He was a scoundrel after all and it wasn't like Greedo was going to let him walk, I don't see why him firing first is such a big deal.

@DanielChristensen: It's mostly because of how many times it was changed. It was altered in 1997 when the few frames were added of Greedo shooting and missing and Han shooting back. Then in 2004 when the movie was released on DVD, the timing was altered again so that Han dodges Greedo's shot instead of him just missing. The reason it's controversial is because Lucas deliberately changed the scene to make Han's character seem "less like a coldblooded killer" and help people empathize with him because it's more understandable to kill someone when they're gonna shoot you, but personally I kinda like the idea of Han being that deadly.

@BlueMetalChick: How do you feel about the altering of Hayden Christensen for the old jedi force ghost in the original film? I kind of like seeing the young Anakin restored, next to his friend and master, but it also feels kind of shitty because 1) I didnt find Haydens acting to be that great and 2) Okay, Vader chose to save his son in the end, but he lived a lifetime of mass murder and all kinds of delicious villainy before that. Does he deserve a nice force ghost? Idk, not for me to decide, of course, just my ponders. Read the Darth Vader comics. They are awesome.

@DanielChristensen: I think it wasn't so much because he saved his son but because he killed Darth Sidious, his own master, and ultimately fulfilled the prophecy of his destiny to be the one to return order to the galaxy.
