But but you see there weren't any black elves, so I cant watch such blasphemy.

@Allelse I presume you're being facetious, but here's an article on the topic, anyway.

@LordShadowfire Do I go to some traditional fan fiction tale taken from African folklore and start sticking white people in it?! Never! Because there wouldn't be any white people in it, they'd all be black heroes and that makes perfect sense. Hell if they did such a thing in Hollywood people would go berserk and rightly so.

@Allelse Okay, apparently you're not being facetious. So I'll summarize what the article says. Tolkien never intended for elves to be a homogeneous race. They have, shall we say, varying levels of melanin.

@LordShadowfire Hahahaha!! I'm just fucking with you, I don't actually care, the Elves are beyond any petty human nonsense of race, I mean in the Silmarillian the elves are distinguished amongst themselves in ways we'll never understand. Like those who were lucky enough to see the light of the twin trees or have been to Aman and so forth. They can have Chinese actors for all I care, as long as they do a good job at acting.

@Allelse Oh, thank goddess, lol. You were very convincing.
