@DIABLISS I have the DVD,it could not possibly be made as well..though they tried in the 70s making it a musical😤..Capra was a master!

Where are you going to find anyone to replace Edward Everett Horton??
@bookerdana there are a lot of actors who can do imitations...maybe start there. i know, it would be like having someone do a take on Jimmy Durante
bookerdana · M
@DIABLISS I'll take Capra's 132 minute(!!!!!) original..thats just me🤷‍♀️
TheFragile · 46-50, M

@TheFragile @Grateful4you @DIABLISS

I highly recommend Michael Mann's 1986 film, "Manhunter," a crime thriller about an FBI profiler who "consults" the imprisoned serial killer Hannibal Lecktor while pursuing another serial killer.
Repete · 61-69, M
I like a lot of older movies that for some reason I keep going back and watch them again and again.
White Christmas
The sound of music
Donovan’s Reef
@Repete Same here. For us elders, it brings back memories of a happier time. (Or at least we like to think so in retrospect)
Repete · 61-69, M
Happier or just simpler . I think you are right .@Grateful4you

Stand By Me, Legends of the Fall and maybe the Karate Kid. There is many that I forgot but loved as well.
@SW-User Me either. I can do sleaze but only following foreplay and a sense of passion, the brain is the largest sex organ...(Well amend that in my case the second largest LOL)
SW-User
I don’t want that in a decent movie. They can leave that for porn and I don’t watch porn luckily. 😂👌🏼@Grateful4you
@SW-User Watching others having fun isn't a turn on. And when there IS dialogue it's so goofy it's absurd.

Showgirls

Sunset boulevard

The Fly (1958 version)
@Bignakedguy ABSOLUTELY AGREE. Poor Bill Holden such a tragic ending. And yup, the old version of "The Fly" another classic.
Bignakedguy · 31-35, M
@Grateful4you The Fly is such a eerie movie. The way the music in the film can start off sounding romantic and then swells up into this bombastic sense of dread
@Bignakedguy One of the few old horror films that really did give me a sense of dread. "HELP ME" haunted me for years as a kid.

12 angry men

Once upon a time in America
@SW-User I watched the remake of 12 Angry Men recently. A wonderful old classic play.
SW-User
@Grateful4you I didn't know they'd made a remake.

I was of course not referring to the remake of Get Carter 😆

Musicals...ORIGINAL WEST SIDE STORY, MOULIN ROUGE, ON A CLEAR DAY...

Horror...THE ORIGINAL THE HAUNTING...THE ORIGINAL HALLOWEEN, 1982 THE THING...

Drama...KRAMER VS KRAMER, AMADEUS, 12 ANGRY MEN
