@bookerdana Someone said once I would love "Putney Swope" not sure why though.
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you It was way ahead of its time,shot on a shoestring budget AND>>>>its on the tube...worth it for the first scene alone
@bookerdana I'll do a look see Chris, thanks.
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you you owe me BIG TIME..i watched Cell on your recommendation
@bookerdana Oh yeah, I forgot. No worries!
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you c'mon man just the first scene..damnation they took it down but you can see it at tubi tv ,free for everyone

@bookerdana OMG "Dr. Weesley" Great lines, looks hilarious! Theatre of the absurd in film. How did I miss this?
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you Scene is hilarious🤣
@bookerdana Looking forward to the entire film. Thanks!
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you it may look like other film trope because so many writers ripped off Robert Downey (SR!!)
@bookerdana Such a cut- throat business.
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you The guy who played Swope kept blowing his lines but Downey didn't care he over dubbed another voice😬 some great interviews with him on the tube
@bookerdana I bet they had a blast on the set and that as much was ad-lib as was in the original screenplay.
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you I think so too....

this was the cleaned up version of the films poster ..but many if not all major newspapers refused to print it😤
@bookerdana Probably would work in this time. I managed to steal the show in the musical "Calamity Jane" (I played Henry Miller) and because of ad-libbed lines and improvised stage action I got away with murder because the audience loved it. Not bragging, It's the only theatre production I had the gall to do that.
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you not gall,you were in the zone...yeah it isn't 1969 anymore theres an F-you emoji🤣
@bookerdana In the "Zone" describes it perfectly. 1969 the same year I did that musical. (I can't sing so I can only do character roles)
bookerdana · M
@Grateful4you must have been a blast...i took two public speaking courses and got two standing Os...always nice
@bookerdana It was a blast. Public speaking one of the top fears people have. I joined Toastmasters International and that came in handy when I started marketing our hospital district. That too is a form of acting.
@bookerdana I loved loved loved Lost Horizons. i saw it when i was young before it was damaged so severely that most of it is now stills. it was amazing
bookerdana · M
@DIABLISS they(Sony) searched the worlds film libraries and there is only about a minute of still frames.Plus they remastered the film,its beautiful🖤
@bookerdana when crap like that happens, they need to refilm it in black and white using similar actors so we don't feel as if we have lost something so special...but i am sure Hollywood would ruin it
bookerdana · M
@DIABLISS I have the DVD,it could not possibly be made as well..though they tried in the 70s making it a musical😤..Capra was a master!

Where are you going to find anyone to replace Edward Everett Horton??
@bookerdana there are a lot of actors who can do imitations...maybe start there. i know, it would be like having someone do a take on Jimmy Durante
bookerdana · M
@DIABLISS I'll take Capra's 132 minute(!!!!!) original..thats just me🤷‍♀️
