Bridge of Spies
Big, Philadelphia and Turner & Hooch then Forrest Gump and A League of Their Own. Hell, most of his movies I love.

@MrPerditus1 Oh I forgot about A League of their Own. Excellent movie, excellent performance! :)

He won't, he's in Australia getting 1st class care. 👌 I like lots but "The Green Mile" sticks out.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
Forrest Gump of course. I think every time I have spent any amount of time with @JesseInTX we have, at some point, watched that movie. How many times do you think we have watched it Jesse?

There's a great range of stuff depending on what mood you're in to watch.
Personally I think Cast away is one of the best movies ever made.
Hard work for one actor and a volleyball to carry a two hour movie.
And you feel all his disappointments as you watch him fail repeatedly.
And the question it poses every time you watch....could you do the same ?
What would it take make you think it's worth the risk in taking your chances out on the ocean on a raft ?

@Quizzical The one few ever seem to mention is Road to Perdition.
Probably the only 'dark' character he's ever played.
Other than the Irish nutcase in Cloud atlas.

He's done so many good ones. But right now, my favorite of his, is "The Ladykillers." It's a laugh-out-loud movie.

@Lostpoet I remember sitting with my kids watching this and them laughing their socks off.

The Green Mile, but there aren't many movies he's been in that I have not at least liked.

SW-User
@Piper I found that Wild Bill character hilarious lol.
Piper · 61-69, F
@SW-User The actor played the part very well, I agree. Aside from that, can't say I found much about what the character did hilarious, myself.

The Green Mile is my favourite
He will get the best of care
He should be ok please god

Castaway your fears, it's not as BIG a deal as it seems. Its not the terminal problem everyone making it out to be. I know people will think I'm using Tom Hanks films as a punchline but the post and this 'catch me if you can' sickness is no joke to me! I'm truly upset by the news I've been sleepless in Seattle and Philadelphia. It's a long road to perdition but once it's all over it will be a beautiful day in the neighbourhood again.
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
I personally think The Bonfire of the Vanities is very underrated, in my opinion.

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@SubstantialKick Great book trashed by a poor script. And worse director.
Hanks is good in it but it's killed by the casting of Griffith and Willis.

I thought he was great in Castaway.
