About as much as I expect the Palestinians/Hamas to earnestly work towards a deal with the Israeli's to share the land.

@SumKindaMunster Interesting how that Mandela guy is seen as sort of a saint, by many 👎🏽

@22Michelle Thank you for your thoughtful and relevant replies.

@SumKindaMunster I try. Debating / exchanging views via posts can be difficult as it is easy to misunderstand what the other person was trying to get across. We all need to resist leaping to conclusions.

There was no ceasefire as long as Hitler's SS existed. Berlin and Hamburg were in flames, "innocent" Germans died by the thousands, but I can't find in my history book that people all over the world cried "genocide! genocide!", to help German civilians.

The members of the Teheran conference (1943) stated that there will be no negotiations with Nazi Germany, and the war will go on until there's an unconditional surrender of the Nazi criminals.
But, of course, fighting against Nazi Germany is genocidal...
I missed the part of history, where the allies declared that there will be no ceasefire until the SS is exterminated.
Yes you "missed" that part, because it doesn't fit into your picture. The members of the Teheran conference (1943) stated that there will be no negotiations with Nazi Germany, and the war will go on until there's an unconditional surrender of the Nazi criminals.

One there was never ceasefire agreement. Isreal has become very clean (I mean Nentanayahu) he was always after his anger towards Palenstine and has found an excuse with a world watching, numbed who won't do anything. They've become numbed from social media and apathy, holding little meaning and will turn a blind eye from what maybe other people would've had said wrong but they won't even see, because they are just tired and numb accepting what is wrong.

very time "ceasefire" is spoken of in any war, it makes me think, "Yeah, let's see how long that lasts."
I do not even know who the "good guys" or "bad guys" are most of the time.

@HoeBag they usually last and often lead to peace negotiations. Not for Americans! Or Israel. They don't last and peace isn't reliable. You are very different from the rest of us. You know nothing can stop war! We don't.

There was a ceasefire?
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@ChipmunkErnie Trump thinks he rules the world. A few world leaders like Emmanuel Macron are afraid of trump but most of them are not.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@ChipmunkErnie Ah! Yeah, when he declares a ceasefire, and everyone continues killing each other. Like how he was gonna stop the Russia Ukraine war in 24 hours.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@Allelse You mean he didn't stop it?? Gee.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
I don't expect this war to ever end. It hasn't really for thousands of years.
Nope... Israel was the first to break every ceasefire they ever signed, and there have been many. To them, a ceasefire means "you cease, we fire".
Thrust · 56-60, M
@Thrust I replied an hour after the question was asked. You replied 13 hours after me. So did you mean it took you 13 hours to read 2 sentences or that you don't understand how timestamps work?
Anyway, Israel is and always has been the initiator of every escalation in the region, whether you like it or not.

No more than I expect HAMAS and other Palestinian groups to respect a ceasefire that doesn't give them some kind of advantage. Both sides seem so involved in massacring the other they lose sight of any humanity.
Why should they?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Royricky09 I'm not going to trust anything that POS has to say.

What ceasefire agreement?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Yes and they did. Iran attacked.
Was there even a ceasefire?
Sharon · F
@wishforthenight Not on the part of the Israelis.
BohoBabe · M
Well, there was a 0% chance.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I give it a 60/40 chance
YoMomma ·
Which ceasefire? As if Israel ever needed to fire at anyone if they weren't constantly being attacked by hostile bloody terrorist Constantly for years now. Get a clue.
You expect Israel to have a ceasefire while being murdered and under threat of murder and attacks?

They break every agreement they make. The USA won't live this down. Americans, blaming Israel! Nah. Not believable.

@Thrust Hamas represents the 10% who don’t want peace . “Settlers” represent the 10% on the other side
Thrust · 56-60, M
@AthrillatheHunt then why have they not been voted out? If there’s so few of them

@Thrust 10% of voters is more than enough to have several seats in the Knesset , which the “ultra nationalists “ do.
