My neurologist appointment

So my neurologist is asking me to no longer hold in any of my tics. She feels it is causing me many issues and it's why they are so bad and intense at times. She feels my stress, my anxiety, my sleep everything might improve if I stop holding them in.

I'm not really sure how she thinks this is possible. There are times where I cannot just let a outburst out or pace around like a mad man.

She also feels that if I stop holding them back they could actually be less intense and frequent.

I just don't know it's something to think about. There are a lot of it could, it might and maybes in this plan so I just don't know

New ideas and approaches to an old illness or condition can be very challenging and very difficult. Change is NEVER easy.

I would do as she recommends. At least TRY it for a month or so, and keep a diary of what happens.

Also, remember that your thyroid medication hasn't even had a chance to kick in. I believe it will be three weeks next week.

Also, next visit, ask her how you are supposed to function at work if you have to let your tics go.

@4meAndyou I really don't know what to do. I hold back so many tics in situations were I just can't risk having one. And what's worse Joel doesn't have an answer for me either.
