I’m very depressed

How do I get out of this funk? Nothing interests me. Movies, games, other projects I can’t get into. All I do is go to work come home and do nothing. I need help

First of all, you're going to have to have a willingness to get out of your funk. Without that, there won't be a chance for change. As depressing as your routine is to you, there's familiarity in it, which provides a sense of security, even though it doesn't feel good. So, you're going to have to be willing to break out of your comfort zone. Do anything other than what you've been doing. (Nothing harmful to yourself or others, and nothing destructive.) Look for things to enjoy. Just little things, no matter how insignificant they may seem. When you find pleasure in something, no matter how much or how little, milk it as long as you can, and remember that feeling. You will have greater resolve in finding that feeling again. Gradually replace your old habits with new ones. When the new habits take on a momentum of their own, you'll notice the momentum of the old habits start to fade away.

Find anything that's fun. Find a sense of love in everything you do. Find ways of serving your fellow man. Provide service to people and the community, even in the smallest of ways. Just a warm, sincere smile can change someone's life.

And, don't be so hard on yourself. Give yourself a break. Know you are worthy and deserving of a happy life just because you exist.

Good Luck.

@PhoenixPhail thanks so much!
@JS1992 You're very welcome. And, thanks for Best Comment. 🫂

Go for a walk maybe.

Spring is the best time to walk. Everything's starting to green up and the birds are singing. Plus, walking is good for your health.

What is your purpose in life? Knowing what it is is crucial to recovery.

The good news: u can provide ur own help. Visit a park and feed the birds...feeling part of nature really helps.

Do stuff anyway if you can. Cook something nice for yourself. Get some exercise. Those things help me a lot.

You need to switch things up. Go somewhere. On a roadtrip. Meet people.

Research some natural supplements. Maybe something will fit you and give you a boost.
I haven't tried it myself but I know that some people find L-tryptophan supplements helpful.

This has been getting to me recently, motivation is hard to come by.
Just starting something, anything sometimes helps.
Get outside if it's sunny, it might make all the difference.
I'm in the same boat.
Nothing interests me and I have no motivation to find it.

@PhoenixPhail same answer applies to u, however, ur probably worried about ur health, so low energy is understandable.

Action is not only the effect of motivation, it's also the cause of it
