I Fight Depression and Loneliness Everyday

It seems to feel like it's going to be a losing battle with my depression one of these days. I am seeing someone and I do have a prescription. And, despite my size and unbelievable it might be, I really do get out to walk around in the sun. Gotta get some exercise and vitamin D, right? But it just doesn't seem to be helping. I'm holding on for my family and friends. It just feels like I stopped living for myself a long time ago.

Perhaps you are not getting enough exercise. A British study took two groups...one group on medication, and another group without, and all suffering from depression. The medicated group was left to sit at home or do whatever, but the unmedicated group was taken out for a brisk two mile hike every day. "Brisk" means moving quickly enough to sweat. At the end of the study, the hiking group were actually doing better than the medicated group.

It could also be that your home environment is depressing, and it is likely that you need to get out and be on your own.
