I know the feeling, I blame myself a lot, even if I know it's not. I struggle getting close to people too.

Try adopting a logical mindset. It's what I've been trying, and it works so long as my emotions don't get too strong. :) Or one thing, is every day, write down something that has made you smile - no matter how small it is. Could even be a butterfly passing by the window.

People have different coping mechanisms so I hope you can find something to help you!
